(Day 2/60): Uncovering how I plan to organise myself while experimenting with multiple business ideas
Getting organized, gaining momentum, getting the calendar from 0 to 1
Cool fact of the day: On this date, April 25th 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope was first placed into orbit by the space shuttle named ‘Discovery’
This first Monday after Meta layoffs was all about heads-down work, and aligning myself to gaining momentum during this first week.
First off, thank you to all the friends who have texted me regarding the Meta layoffs. And thank you as well to all the people reaching out. From text groups to DMs to emails, I really appreciate all your encouragement. Special shoutout to the people who were kind enough to re-post my announcement (Pradip, Joe, Rayan, Jason, Rusian, and Jean-Daniel, )
Podcast: scheduled two episodes for Thursday
Consulting: sent off a proposal to a potential first client
Gym: even in work mode, still forced myself to go to gym for 30 mins
Meetings: This calendar was empty when the day started. I divided up each day to focus on an indiviual business idea; consulting, hard-money lending, referral website, podcast, etc.. And then scheduled meetings which are relevant (or symbiotic) to those topics. This way I can coordinate the meeting with my headspace.
Tomorrow is focused on building out the website for my Hard-money loans idea. I’ll also have a catch up call with an old friend on the topic. And I’ll also be chatting with another ex-meta. If I can get the rough website for HML done, then I’ll use the extra time to shoot the shots for the podcast.
I didn’t get around to shooting the video-intro’s I wanted for the podcast, will need to do that tomorrow so I can get through episode 1 editing stage
I responded to about a ton of DMs on Linkedin, but didn’t have time to finish responding to everyone. My goal tomorrow is to finish this, and respond to all comments on the announcement post (so get them in tonight if you have questions!)
